有一個人出於你中間，計謀毁壞之事來反抗永恆主，籌劃極惡的毁滅。

有一人焉、自爾而出、向耶和華圖奸惡、謀不軌、

尼尼微謀士、惟惡是作、專行不軌、悖逆耶和華、

惟爾尼尼微、邪謬之議士、由爾中出、所謀惟惡、欲攻擊主、

From you, Nineveh, has one come forth who plots evil against the Lord and devises wicked plans.

Nineveh, a king has marched out from you. He makes evil plans against the Lord. He thinks about how he can do what is wrong.

From you came one who plotted evil against the Lord, a worthless counselor.

Who is this wicked counselor of yours who plots evil against the Lord?

One has gone out from you, who plots evil against the LORD, and is a wicked counselor.

From you has gone out One who plotted evil against the Lord, A wicked counselor.

There is one gone forth out of thee, that deviseth evil against Jehovah, that counselleth wickedness.

One has gone out from you, who plots evil against Yahweh, and is a wicked counselor.

There is[ one] come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

From you, O Nineveh, one has marched forth who plots evil against the LORD, a wicked military strategist.

There is one gone out of you, who devises evil against Yahweh, who counsels wickedness.

What do you conspire against the Lord? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time.

Then worthless rogues gathered to him, and strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and inexperienced and could not withstand them.

‘ Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice, And lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.By your messengers you have reproached the Lord, And said:“ By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, To the limits of Lebanon; I will cut down its tall cedars And its choice cypress trees; I will enter the extremity of its borders, To its fruitful forest.I have dug and drunk strange water, And with the soles of my feet I have dried up All the brooks of defense.”‘ Did you not hear long ago How I made it, From ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, That you should be For crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins.

Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord.

Yet he does not mean so, Nor does his heart think so; But it is in his heart to destroy, And cut off not a few nations.For he says,‘ Are not my princes altogether kings?Is not Calno like Carchemish? Is not Hamath like Arpad? Is not Samaria like Damascus?As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, Whose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria,As I have done to Samaria and her idols, Shall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?’”Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, that He will say,“ I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.”For he says:“ By the strength of my hand I have done it, And by my wisdom, for I am prudent; Also I have removed the boundaries of the people, And have robbed their treasuries; So I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.My hand has found like a nest the riches of the people, And as one gathers eggs that are left, I have gathered all the earth; And there was no one who moved his wing, Nor opened his mouth with even a peep.”Shall the ax boast itself against him who chops with it? Or shall the saw exalt itself against him who saws with it? As if a rod could wield itself against those who lift it up, Or as if a staff could lift up, as if it were not wood!

nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying,“ The Lord will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”’

Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you like this, and do not believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?’”Furthermore, his servants spoke against the Lord God and against His servant Hezekiah.He also wrote letters to revile the Lord God of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying,“ As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people from my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver His people from my hand.”Then they called out with a loud voice in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them and trouble them, that they might take the city.And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth— the work of men’s hands.

And in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying,“ I have done wrong; turn away from me; whatever you impose on me I will pay.” And the king of Assyria assessed Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

And there happened to be there a rebel, whose name was Sheba the son of Bichri, a Benjamite. And he blew a trumpet, and said:“ We have no share in David, Nor do we have inheritance in the son of Jesse; Every man to his tents, O Israel!”
