但是我告訴你們：凡向弟兄發怒的，必須擔受判罰；凡罵弟兄為「飯桶」的，必須擔受議院的判罰；凡罵弟兄為「傻瓜」的，必須擔受地獄的火。

屬基督耶穌的人是已經把肉體、同各樣的惡情和私慾、都釘上十字架了。

所以你們要看這在地上的肢體為死了的：就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、和貪婪、（就是一種的拜偶像）。

所以我們也如此。我們既有這樣多如密雲的捨生作證人圍繞着我們，就該脫去各樣的拖累、和那容易纏着我們的罪，用堅忍志氣跑那擺在我們前頭的賽程，

因為你們若順着肉體而活，就必死；若順着靈治死你們身體上的行為，就必活。

正教督我們棄絕不虔的心和屬世的私慾，在現今世按克己正義和敬虔而生活，

不，你辦迎賓席的時候，要請討飯的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、眼瞎的，你就有福了。

他的簸箕在他手裏，要徹底潔淨他的穀場，把他的麥子收集在倉裏；粃糠卻要用不滅的火去燒掉。』

『你的同母弟兄、或是你的兒子或女兒、或是你懷中的妻子，或是如同你性命的朋友，若暗中教唆你、說：「我們去事奉別的神吧」；這些神是你和你列祖素來所不認識的，是你們四圍別族之民的神。無論是離你近，或是離你遠的神、是從地這邊到地那邊的神。你都不可依順他，不可聽從他；你的眼不可顧惜他；你不要可憐他，不可藏匿他；

我乃是痛打我的身體，驅使它做奴僕，恐怕我宣傳給別人，自己反成了不中用的！

倘若你的一隻腳使你絆跌，把它砍掉吧；你瘸腿進入生命，比有兩隻腳而被丟在地獄裏倒好呢。

所以你們既脫去了一切惡毒、一切詭詐裝假和嫉妒、以及一切毁謗的事，
