“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

“但若有人使这样一个小信徒失足犯罪，他的下场比把大磨石挂在他脖子上扔到海里还要惨。

“如果有人使一个信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的颈项上拴一块大磨石投在海里。

“无论谁使信我的这些卑微人中的一个绊倒，对那人来说，脖子上拴着大磨石，被丢进海里反而更好。

「凡使這信我的一個小子跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「但若有人使這樣一個小信徒失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石掛在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

“如果有人使一個信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的頸項上拴一塊大磨石投在海裡。

『凡使這些信的人的微小者之一絆跌的，假使一塊驢牽的磨石掛在他的脖子上，丟在海裏，這對於他倒好呢。

「無論誰使信我的這些卑微人中的一個絆倒，對那人來說，脖子上拴著大磨石，被丟進海裡反而更好。

陷信我小子之一者、寧以巨磨懸其頸、投於海、

凡陷信我之小子於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸、投於海之為美也、

凡使此信我之一小子、陷於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸而投於海、

如有使信我之小子、失足而陷罪者、毋寧以磨石繫頸、而被投諸海乎？

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones— those who believe in me— to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ What if someone leads one of these little ones who believe in me to sin? If they do, it would be better if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“ But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ But whoever causes the downfall of one of these little ones who believe in Me— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall offend one of[ these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.

Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Then He said to the disciples,“ It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

“ Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol’s temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols?And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

Then He will answer them, saying,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

but as it is written:“ To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.”

And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.“ While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me.And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language,‘ saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due.”And I heard another from the altar saying,“ Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.And they cried with a loud voice, saying,“ How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
