「但若有人使這樣一個小信徒失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石掛在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

“凡使这信我的一个小子跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在这人的颈项上，扔在海里。

“凡使这些信我的小子中的一个跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在这人的颈项上，扔在海里。

“凡使这些信我的小子中的一个跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在这人的颈项上，扔在海里。

“但若有人使这样一个小信徒失足犯罪，他的下场比把大磨石挂在他脖子上扔到海里还要惨。

“如果有人使一个信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的颈项上拴一块大磨石投在海里。

“无论谁使信我的这些卑微人中的一个绊倒，对那人来说，脖子上拴着大磨石，被丢进海里反而更好。

「凡使這信我的一個小子跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

「凡使這些信我的小子中的一個跌倒的，倒不如把大磨石拴在這人的頸項上，扔在海裏。

“如果有人使一個信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如在他的頸項上拴一塊大磨石投在海裡。

『凡使這些信的人的微小者之一絆跌的，假使一塊驢牽的磨石掛在他的脖子上，丟在海裏，這對於他倒好呢。

「無論誰使信我的這些卑微人中的一個絆倒，對那人來說，脖子上拴著大磨石，被丟進海裡反而更好。

陷信我小子之一者、寧以巨磨懸其頸、投於海、

凡陷信我之小子於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸、投於海之為美也、

凡使此信我之一小子、陷於罪者、寧以磨石懸其頸而投於海、

如有使信我之小子、失足而陷罪者、毋寧以磨石繫頸、而被投諸海乎？

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones— those who believe in me— to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ What if someone leads one of these little ones who believe in me to sin? If they do, it would be better if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.

“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“ But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

“ Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ But whoever causes the downfall of one of these little ones who believe in Me— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

And whosoever shall offend one of[ these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

“ If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea.

Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.

但不論誰使這樣一個小信徒失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石拴在他脖子上沉到深海裡還要慘。

耶穌教導門徒說：「引人犯罪的事是免不了的，但引人犯罪的人有禍了。誰使一個卑微的弟兄失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石拴在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

你們切不可輕視任何一位卑微的人。我告訴你們，他們的天使在天上常見我天父的面。

弟兄姊妹，我勸你們要留意那些製造分裂、設置障礙、背離你們所學之道的人，你們要避開他們。

他倒在地上，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為什麼迫害我？」

如果有人看見你這明白以上道理的人竟然坐在偶像的廟中吃喝，他雖然良心不安，豈不還是會放膽吃獻給偶像的祭物嗎？這樣，你的知識反而令那軟弱的人，就是基督捨命救回的弟兄沉淪。你們這樣得罪弟兄，傷了他脆弱的良心，就是得罪基督。所以，如果我吃某些食物會令我的弟兄在信仰上跌倒，我就情願永遠不吃，免得令他們跌倒。

許多人會效法他們邪惡無恥的行為，致使真理之道被人毀謗。

「王會回答說，『我實在告訴你們，你們沒有幫助我最卑微的一個弟兄，就是沒有幫助我。』這些人要受永遠的刑罰，但義人要得到永遠的生命。」

正如聖經上說：「對祂毫無所聞的，將要看見；未曾聽過的，將要明白。」

我多次在各會堂懲罰他們，逼他們說褻瀆的話，我對他們深惡痛絕，甚至到國外的城鎮去追捕、迫害他們。「那時，我帶著祭司長的授權和委託去大馬士革。王啊！大約中午時分，我在路上看見一道比太陽還亮的光從天上照在我和同行的人周圍。我們都倒在地上，我聽見有聲音用希伯來話對我說，『掃羅！掃羅！你為什麼迫害我？你很難用腳去踢刺。』

所以，我建議年輕的寡婦再嫁，生兒育女，料理家務，不要給仇敵毀謗的機會，

上帝是公義的，祂必以患難來報應那些迫害你們的人。當主耶穌和祂大能的天使在烈焰中從天上顯現時，祂必使你們這些受苦的人和我們同得安慰，懲罰那些不認識上帝、不聽從有關我們主耶穌之福音的人。那些人要受的刑罰就是離開主的面和祂榮耀的權能，永遠滅亡。

所以，我們不可再互相論斷，要留心自己的言行，不要絆倒弟兄姊妹。

為了避免有人毀謗我們的職分，我們凡事儘量不妨礙別人，

不要成為猶太人、希臘人或上帝教會的絆腳石，就像我凡事儘量讓人滿意，不求自己的好處，只求眾人的好處，以便他們可以得救。

使你們知道怎樣擇善而從，做誠實無過的人，一直到基督再來的日子，

由於他們流了眾聖徒和先知們的血，現在你使他們喝血，這正是他們應得的報應。」我又聽見從祭壇發出的聲音說：「是的，全能的主上帝，你的判決真實公義。」

羔羊揭開第五印的時候，我看到一個祭壇，祭壇下有許多靈魂，都是為傳揚上帝的道、為祂做見證而被殺的。他們大聲喊著說：「聖潔真實的主宰啊，還要等多久呢？為什麼你還不審判地上那些屠殺我們的人，為我們伸冤呢？」
