Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

Jesus sat down and called for the 12 disciples to come to him. Then he said,“ Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last. They must be the servant of everyone.”

And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them,“ If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said,“ Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”

于是，耶稣把他们叫来，对他们说：“你们知道，外族人有君王统治他们，有大臣管理他们，但你们不可这样。你们中间谁要当首领，谁就要做大家的仆人；谁要居首位，谁就要做大家的奴仆。因为就连人子也不是来受人服侍，而是来服侍人，并且牺牲性命，作许多人的赎价。”

于是，耶稣把他们叫来，说：“外族人有君王统治他们，有大臣管理他们。但你们不可这样。你们中间，谁要当首领，谁就要做大家的仆人；谁要居首位，谁就要做大家的奴仆。正如人子不是来受人服侍，而是来服侍人，并且牺牲性命，作许多人的赎价。”

你去赴宴时，应该先坐在末位，这样主人会对你说，‘朋友，请上坐！’那时，你在宾客面前就有光彩了。因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”

但上帝赐给我们更大的恩典，所以圣经上说：“上帝阻挡骄傲的人，恩待谦卑的人。”

但你们不可这样。相反，你们中间地位最高的，要像最卑微的；做首领的，要像服侍人的。

你们当中谁最伟大，谁就要做你们的仆人。

“我告诉你们，二人回家后，被上帝算为义的是税吏而不是法利赛人，因为自高的人必遭贬抑，谦卑的人必得尊荣。”

自高自大招惹纷争，虚心受教才是睿智。

你想为自己谋求大事吗？不要谋求，因为我要给世人降下灾祸。但不论你到哪里，我必使你保住性命。这是耶和华说的。’”
