从此以后，耶稣开始清楚地指示门徒，祂必须去耶路撒冷，受长老、祭司长和律法教师许多的迫害，并且被处死，但第三天必从死里复活。

“你们要留意，我们现在前往耶路撒冷，人子将被交给祭司长和律法教师。他们要判祂死刑，把祂交给外族人，受嘲弄、鞭打，被钉在十字架上。但第三天祂必复活。”

耶稣回答说：“以利亚固然要先来复兴一切，但为什么圣经上说人子一定会饱受痛苦、遭人蔑视呢？

从此，耶稣便告诉他们，人子必须受许多苦，被长老、祭司长和律法教师弃绝，杀害，但必在三天之后复活。

耶稣对他们说：“我跟你们在一起的时候曾经说过，摩西的律法书、先知的书以及诗篇里有关我的记载都要应验。”于是，耶稣开启了他们的心窍，使他们明白这些经文，又对他们说：“圣经上说，基督必受害，然后在第三天从死里复活，

基督岂不是要先这样受害，然后进入祂的荣耀吗？”

“你们知道，两天后就是逾越节，到时人子会被出卖，被钉在十字架上。”

然而，那些佃户看见园主的儿子来了，就商量说，‘这是园主的继承人。来吧！我们杀掉他，占了他的产业！’于是，他们抓住他，把他推出园外杀了。

耶稣把十二使徒带到一边，对他们说：“你们要留意，我们现在前往耶路撒冷，先知书上有关人子的记载都要应验，人子将被交在外族人的手里，被他们嘲弄、虐待、吐唾沫、鞭打和杀害，但第三天祂必复活。”

正如人子不是来受人服侍，而是来服侍人，并且牺牲性命，作许多人的赎价。”

上帝照着自己的计划和预知把耶稣交在你们手里，你们借着邪恶之人的手把祂钉死在十字架上了。但上帝为祂解除了死亡的痛苦，使祂从死里复活，因为祂不可能被死亡拘禁。

没有人能夺走我的生命，我是甘心舍弃的。我有权舍弃，也有权得回，这是我从父那里得到的命令。”

摩西在旷野怎样举起铜蛇，人子也必照样被举起来，

“果然如此，希律和本丢·彼拉多、外族人和以色列人都聚集在这城里，要对抗你膏立的圣子耶稣，然而他们所做的只不过是你凭自己的能力和旨意所预定的。

“你们要牢记人子所说的话，因为祂将要被交到人的手里。”

耶稣回答说：“你们拆毁这座殿，我三天之内会把它重建起来。”

我们若忍耐到底，就必与祂一同做王。我们若不承认祂，祂也必不承认我们。
