耶穌即伸手援之曰：『何爾信心之薄、而疑懼之多也！』

有迦南婦人來自彼域、大呼曰：『主、大維子、其垂憐焉。吾女為魔所祟、苦甚』耶穌不答、門徒請曰：『有婦呼於後、盍遣之去。』耶穌曰：『我之奉使、惟就義塞宅中亡羊。』婦趨前而拜曰：『主其助我。』耶穌曰：『豈宜取兒曹之餅、以投穉犬？』婦對曰：『主、誠然；惟几下穉犬、猶得沾主人餅屑。』耶穌曰：『女兒、大哉爾信！依爾所願、成全於爾。』其女遂於此時霍然而愈。

耶穌惻然憫之、撫其目、應手復明？二人乃從之。

主見寡婦、惻然憫之、慰之曰：『毋慟！』

一癩者趨前、跽而求曰：『主若願者、必能潔我。』

不許、曰：『好自回家、與家人完聚、並以上主對爾所行及加爾之慈惠、向彼傳述可耳。』
