But Jesus rebuked him:“ Silence! Come out of him!” Then, after the demon threw the man down in their midst, he came out of him without hurting him.

For Jesus had started commanding the evil spirit to come out of the man.( For it had seized him many times, so he would be bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard. But he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.)

You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

As the boy was approaching, the demon threw him to the ground and shook him with convulsions. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but they were not able to do so.”

Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour.

It shrieked, threw him into terrible convulsions, and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said,“ He is dead!”

So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and he afflicted Job with a malignant ulcer from the sole of his feet to the top of his head.Job took a shard of broken pottery to scrape himself with while he was sitting among the ashes.
