倘爾能心領神會、彼即當臨之伊理藹也。

先是、希祿為弟婦黑落娣事、執如望、繫以縲絏、下之獄。如望嘗諫王曰：『爾納此婦、義所不容。』王欲殺之、而懾於民情、有所不敢；以民眾莫不認如望、為先知也。值希祿誕辰、黑落娣之女當席起舞為壽、希祿喜、誓以所求必賜。女為母所唆、求曰：『願以施洗如望之首、置諸盤中見賜。』王愀然不樂、然礙於所誓、及在席諸賓、乃准其所請、飭人斬如望於獄、置首盤中以授女、女以奉母。

第予語爾、依理藹實已蒞臨、而人莫之識、且任意處之。人子之將罹橫逆、亦復如是。』至此諸徒乃悟耶穌所言、係指施洗如望。

耶穌聲名洋溢、希祿聞人言具此異能、必施洗如望復活矣。或曰：『伊理靄也。』或曰：『先知、猶古先知之一耳。』希祿聞之、則曰：『是必吾所斬之如望復活矣。』先是希祿以娶弟斐立妻黑落娣故、囚如望於獄。蓋如望嘗諫曰：『納弟婦、非禮也。』黑落娣因是懷恨、欲害之而弗得、以希祿明知其義且聖、畏而庇之、所言多從、亦樂聞其教。會希祿誕辰、宴群臣諸將、及加利利紳宦。黑落娣女起舞為壽、合席歡然。王謂女曰：『任汝所求、必予汝。』且誓曰：『雖平分國土、吾亦弗吝。』女退詢母將何求、母曰：『施洗者如望之首。』乃返、請於王曰：『願以施洗者如望之首、置盤中見賜。』王戚戚然有難色、惟百僚咸列、不欲自食其誓、遂遣使斬如望於獄、以首置盤賜女、女以授母、

以伊理藹之風度神力為主前驅、必使為父者之心歸向兒女、而頑強之子服膺長者之智、為主作育心悅誠服之新民。』

先知孰不為爾祖所凌辱乎？先知豫報聖者之來而爾祖殺之；今聖者已至、而爾曹又鬻而殺之矣！

而分封王希祿以弟婦黑落娣事及所行諸惡、見責於如望；於是惡上加惡、下如望於獄。
