主人來了，看見僕人儆醒着，那些僕人就有福啊！我實在告訴你們，他必束上帶，叫他們坐席，自己倒上前去服事他們呢！

在他還沒有上邱壇喫祭物之先，你們一進城，就會遇見他；因為他未到，人民總不喫的；要等他先祝謝了祭物，然後被請的才喫；現在你們上去吧，因為馬上就會遇見他。』

當時約有五千人。耶穌就對門徒說：『叫他們一排一排地坐下，每一排大約有五十個人。』他們就這樣作，叫眾人都坐下。

耶穌說：『拿過來這裏給我。』於是吩咐羣眾坐在草地上，就拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅給門徒，門徒又給羣眾。

耶穌說：『叫人坐下！』那地方原有很多草。人就坐下，數目約有五千。於是耶穌拿了餅，祝謝，分給坐着的人；小魚也這樣，隨着他們所願意要的。

他母親對僕役們說：『他告訴你們甚麼，你們總要作甚麼。』

他就囑咐羣眾坐在地上，便拿着那七個餅和那幾條魚，祝謝，擘開，連續地給門徒，門徒又給羣眾。

他們喫的時候，耶穌拿着餅，祝頌，擘開，給予門徒，說：『你們拿着喫；這是我的身體。』

耶穌就吩咐他們大家、要一組一組地坐在青草地上。他們就一排一排地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅，連續地給門徒，去擺在眾人面前；他也把那兩條魚分給他們。眾人都喫，並且喫飽了；他們就把碎片兒撿起來，十二個籃子滿滿的！另外還有碎魚。喫餅的有五千人。

我如果存着感恩的心分享着，為甚麼因我所祝謝的而受毁謗呢？所以你們或喫或喝，或作甚麼事，都要為上帝的榮耀而作。

不過有幾隻從提庇哩亞來的小船靠近主祝謝了以後眾人喫餅的地方）。

凡你們所作的、無論是甚麼、在言語上或行為上、都要奉主耶穌的名去作，藉着他而感謝父上帝。

正同他們坐席的時候，耶穌就拿着餅、祝頌擘開，遞給他們。

他們禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物，就是上帝所創造、給信徒和認識真理的人用感謝心享受的。上帝創造之物都是好的；用感謝心領受，沒有一樣是可棄的；因為藉着上帝的話語和人的祈求、已成聖別了。
