要知道，你们从传统的、没有意义的生活中被救赎出来，不是靠金银等会朽坏的东西，

他们的教导无非是人的规条，他们敬拜我也是枉然。’你们只知拘守人的传统，却无视上帝的诫命。”耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了拘守自己的传统，竟巧妙地废除了上帝的诫命。摩西说，‘要孝敬父母’，又说，‘咒骂父母的，必被处死。’

服从“不可拿、不可尝、不可摸”之类的规条呢？这些规条不过是人的戒律和说教，经不起实践的考验，看似充满智慧，其实只不过是自创的宗教、自表谦卑、苦待己身，对于克制邪情私欲毫无用处。

“为什么你的门徒吃饭前不行洗手礼，破坏祖先的传统呢？”耶稣回答说：“为什么你们拘守传统而违背上帝的诫命呢？上帝说，‘要孝敬父母’，又说，‘咒骂父母的，必被处死。’你们却说，‘人如果把供养父母的钱奉献给上帝，他就不必供养父母。’你们这是用传统来废掉上帝的诫命。

他们质问耶稣：“为什么你的门徒违背祖先的传统，竟用不洁净的手吃饭呢？”
