Jesus went from there to a place near Tyre. He entered a house. He did not want anyone to know where he was. But he could not keep it a secret.

So his disciples came to him and urged him,“ Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”He answered,“ I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”The woman came and knelt before him.“ Lord, help me!” she said.He replied,“ It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”“ Yes it is, Lord,” she said.“ Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”Then Jesus said to her,“ Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them,“ Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them,“ Do you believe that I am able to do this?”“ Yes, Lord,” they replied.

“ Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ In the pride of your heart you say,“ I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.” But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.

and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.

A prophecy against Tyre: Wail, you ships of Tarshish! For Tyre is destroyed and left without house or harbor. In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden forever.

He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.

He said,“ No more of your reveling, Virgin Daughter Sidon, now crushed!“ Up, cross over to Cyprus; even there you will find no rest.”
