But they were unable to find any such damaging evidence, because he was trustworthy and guilty of no negligence or corruption.So these men concluded,“ We won’t find any pretext against this man Daniel unless it is in connection with the law of his God.”

“ Woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You give a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, yet you neglect what is more important in the law– justice, mercy, and faithfulness! You should have done these things without neglecting the others.Blind guides! You strain out a gnat yet swallow a camel!“ Woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside they are full of greed and self- indulgence.

But Peter said,“ Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!”The voice spoke to him again, a second time,“ What God has made clean, you must not consider ritually unclean!”
