門徒搖櫓、約有四到六公里的光景，見耶穌在海上走，漸漸地近了船，他們就害怕。耶穌對他們說：『是我，別怕了！』

耶穌就對他們說：『你們怎麼震盪不安呢？為甚麼心裏起了疑念呢？看我的手我的腳，是我自己；摸我看看！靈是沒有肉和骨頭，像你們看我是有的。』

那一天、安息週的第一日、傍晚、因為怕猶太人，門徒所在的地方門都關了。耶穌來，站在當中，對他們說：『願你們平安！』說了這話，就把手和肋旁指給他們看。門徒看見了主，就歡喜。
