耶穌就起來，斥責了風，對浪說：「不許做聲！平靜下來！」於是風就停了，湖面就變得一片平靜。

他使狂風止息，歸於靜寂，海洋的波濤也平靜了。

你平息海洋和其中波濤的喧嚷，平息萬民的喧囂。

是你管轄海洋的狂濤；波浪翻騰時，是你平息它們。

耶和華坐在洪水之上，耶和華坐著為王，直到永遠。

他為海洋設立界限，使眾水不能違背他的吩咐；他立定了大地的根基——

烈火和冰雹、冰雪和雲霧、遵行他話語的暴風、

耶和華啊，洪流揚起——洪流揚起它們的聲音，洪流揚起它們的濤聲！耶和華在至高處大有能力，勝過大水的聲音，勝過海洋巨大的波浪！

眾水因你的斥責而逃遁，因你的雷聲而奔逃；眾水向上漫過群山，向下流入山谷，歸到你為它們指定的地方。你設立了界限，它們就不能越過，不再轉回遮蓋大地。

耶穌就站在她旁邊，斥責那高燒，燒就退了。她立刻起來，服事他們。

耶穌看見眾人都跑上來，就斥責那汙靈，說：「你這聾啞的邪靈，我命令你：從他裡面出來，不可再進去！」
