Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him,“ Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

你們要把一切憂慮都卸給神，因為他顧念你們。

因為我們的大祭司不是不能同情我們的種種軟弱，而是在各方面照著與我們相同的樣式受過試探，只是沒有犯罪。

耶和華啊，對這些事，你還要保持克制嗎？你還要靜默，使我們極度受苦待嗎？

難道主要永遠拋棄我們，不再悅納我們嗎？難道他的慈愛永久消逝，他的言語斷絕，直到萬代嗎？難道神忘記了施恩，在怒氣中收起了他的憐憫嗎？細拉我就說：「我痛心的是：至高者右手的能力變了。」

因為耶和華召喚你，像召喚被離棄、靈裡憂傷的妻子，就是年輕時所娶又被棄絕的妻子。」這是你的神說的。「我只是短暫地離棄了你，但我要以極大的憐憫招聚你；我在怒氣漲溢的時候，曾經短暫地向你掩面，但我要以永遠的慈愛憐憫你。」這是耶和華你的救贖主說的。

耶和華啊，你為什麼站在遠處，在災難之時隱藏呢？惡人因著自高追逼困苦人，願他們被自己謀劃的詭計抓住！

門徒們上前來叫醒他，說：「主啊，救救我們，我們沒命了！」

雅各啊，你為什麼說，以色列啊，你為什麼聲稱：「我的道路從耶和華面前隱藏了，我應得的公正被我的神忽略了」？難道你不知道嗎？難道你沒有聽過嗎？永恆的神耶和華——創造地極的主，他不疲倦，也不困乏；他的聰慧無法測度。

錫安說：「耶和華離棄了我，我的主忘記了我！」耶和華說：「女人怎能忘記自己吃奶的嬰孩，不憐憫她親生的孩子呢？即使她們可能忘記，我也不會忘記你。看哪！我已經把你刻在我的手掌上，你的城牆一直在我面前。

求你從天上垂看，從你聖潔、榮耀的崇高居所觀看！你的熱心和你的大能在哪裡呢？你內心的激情和你的憐憫向我們止住了。

耶和華的膀臂啊，醒來，醒來，以力量為衣！醒來吧，就像你在太初的日子、亙古的世代！從前砍碎拉哈伯、刺透海中巨獸的，難道不是你嗎？使海洋深淵之水乾涸的，使海洋深處變為道路，讓救贖之民經過的，難道不是你嗎？

主啊，求你醒起！你為什麼還在沉睡？求你醒來，不要永久拋棄我們！你為什麼要隱藏你的臉，忘記我們所受的苦難和壓迫呢？

故此，他必須在各方面都像他的弟兄們那樣，為要在屬神的事上成為憐憫人的、忠心的大祭司，好為子民的罪孽獻上平息祭。

我的神，我的神，你為什麼離棄我？為什麼遠離不救我，不聽我哀哼的話語？我的神哪，我白天呼求，你不回應；我在夜間也得不到安寧！

門徒們上前來叫醒耶穌，說：「老師，老師，我們沒命了！」耶穌就起來，斥責風和浪，風浪就止息，湖面就變得平靜。

雅各井就在那裡。耶穌因旅途勞累，就坐在井邊。那時大約是中午十二點。
