Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him,“ Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him,“ Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting,“ Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

And yet Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they* woke Him and* said to Him,“ Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”

你們要把一切憂慮卸給上帝，因為祂眷顧你們。

因為我們這位大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱，祂與我們一樣曾經面對各樣的試探，卻從來沒有犯罪。

耶和華啊，你怎能坐視不理呢？你仍然保持緘默，使我們重重地受罰嗎？

但你若尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；你若純潔、正直，祂必起身相助，恢復你應有的家園。

「難道主要永遠丟棄我，不再恩待我了嗎？難道祂的慈愛永遠消逝了嗎？祂的應許永遠落空了嗎？難道上帝已忘記施恩，在憤怒中收回了祂的慈愛嗎？」（細拉）於是我說：「我感到悲傷的是，至高者已不再彰顯大能。」

中午時分，以利亞譏諷他們說：「喊大聲一點，他肯定是神明！也許他在沉思冥想，也許太忙了，也許出遊了，也許睡著了，需要人叫醒他！」於是，他們更加大聲呼求，並按自己的教規用刀槍自割自刺，直到身體流血。他們不斷地狂呼亂叫，直到獻晚祭的時候，仍然毫無動靜，沒有半點反應。

耶和華要召你回來，如同召一個遭遺棄、心中憂傷的年輕妻子。這是你的上帝說的。我丟棄了你片刻，但我要懷著極大的憐憫接你回來。我盛怒之下暫時掩面不理你，但我要以永遠不變的慈愛憐憫你。這是你的救贖主耶和華說的。

耶和華啊，你為何遠遠站著？為何在我遭難時隱藏起來？惡人狂妄地追逼窮苦人，願他們落入自己所設的圈套。

門徒連忙叫醒耶穌，說：「主啊，救命！我們快淹死了！」

雅各啊，你怎能說耶和華看不見你的遭遇呢？以色列啊，你怎能說上帝並不顧念你的冤情呢？難道你不知道？難道你沒有聽見過？永恆的上帝耶和華——創造地極的主宰不會疲乏也不會困倦，祂的智慧深不可測。

但錫安說：「耶和華撇棄了我，主把我忘了。」耶和華說：「母親豈能忘記自己吃奶的嬰兒，不憐憫自己親生的孩子？就算有母親忘記，我也不會忘記你。看啊，我已經把你銘刻在我的手掌上，你的牆垣在我的看顧之下。

求你從天上垂顧，從你聖潔、榮耀的居所垂看。你的熱忱和大能在哪裡呢？難道你不再眷愛、憐憫我們嗎？

耶和華啊，伸出臂膀，施展能力吧，像在從前的世代一樣施展你的能力吧！難道不是你砍碎了拉哈伯，刺死了海怪嗎？難道不是你使海洋和深淵乾涸，在海中開出道路讓蒙救贖的人穿過的嗎？

主啊，求你醒來，你為何沉睡？求你起來，不要永遠丟棄我們。你為何掩面不理我們，不理會我們所受的苦難和壓迫？

所以祂必須在每一方面都與祂的弟兄姊妹相同，以便在事奉上帝的事上成為一位仁慈忠信的大祭司，替眾人獻上贖罪祭。

我的上帝，我的上帝，你為何離棄我？為何遲遲不來救我，不聽我的哀號呢？我的上帝啊，我日夜不停地呼求，你卻沒有回應。

門徒過來喚醒耶穌，說：「主啊，主啊！我們快淹死了！」耶穌醒來，就斥責風浪，頓時風平浪靜了。

雅各井就在那個地方。耶穌走路疲乏，坐在井旁休息。那時是中午時分，

即使我哀哭呼求，祂也掩耳不聽。
