On that day, when evening came, Jesus said to his disciples,“ Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.”

As he got into the boat, his disciples followed him.And a great storm developed on the sea so that the waves began to swamp the boat. But he was asleep.So they came and woke him up saying,“ Lord, save us! We are about to die!”But he said to them,“ Why are you cowardly, you people of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was dead calm.And the men were amazed and said,“ What sort of person is this? Even the winds and the sea obey him!”

When they found him on the other side of the lake, they said to him,“ Rabbi, when did you get here?”

Then he said to them,“ Where is your faith?” But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another,“ Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!”

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee( also called the Sea of Tiberias).

Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.

got into a boat, and started to cross the lake to Capernaum.( It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.)

Then he left them, got back into the boat, and went to the other side.
