以便你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙祂喜悅，在一切良善的事上結出果實，對上帝的認識不斷增加。

你們要常在我裡面，我就常在你們裡面。枝子若離開葡萄樹，就不能結果子。同樣，你們若不常在我裡面，也不能結果子。「我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。常在我裡面的，我也常在他裡面，他就會多結果子，因為你們離開了我什麼都不能做。

不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並且派你們出去結永存的果子。這樣，你們奉我的名無論向父求什麼，祂都會賜給你們。

最後，弟兄姊妹，既然你們領受了我們的教導，知道怎樣行才能討上帝的喜悅，如你們現在所行的，我們靠著主耶穌懇求、勸勉你們要更加努力。

如果充分具備了這些品德，你們對我們主耶穌基督的認識就不會停滯不前，毫無收穫。

並靠著耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，使上帝得到榮耀與頌讚。

我的弟兄姊妹，同樣，你們藉著基督的身體向著律法也死了，使你們可以歸於那位從死裡復活的基督，好為上帝結果子。

但聖靈所結的果子是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。沒有律法會禁止這些事。

以撒在那裡耕種，耶和華賜福給他，那一年他得了百倍的收成。
