故彼目視而不明、耳聞而不悟、不克遷改而得罪赦、

使其視而不明、聞而不悟、免其悔改、而罪得赦、

若輩蓋所謂視而不見、聽而不悟、惟恐其幡然回頭而見赦者耳。』

so that,“‘ they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’”

In that way,“‘ They will see but never know what they are seeing. They will hear but never understand. Otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’ ”( Isaiah 6:9, 10)

so that“‘ they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.’”

so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled:‘ When they see what I do, they will learn nothing. When they hear what I say, they will not understand. Otherwise, they will turn to me and be forgiven.’”

祂說：「你去告訴以色列人，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。』要讓這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到醫治。」

他們愚昧無知，因為眼睛被封住以致看不見，心竅被塞住以致不明白。

『聽著，你們這群愚昧無知的人啊，你們視而不見，聽而不聞。

以賽亞的預言正應驗在他們身上，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。因為這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，以致眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不見，心裡不明白，無法回心轉意，得不到我的醫治。』

但耶和華至今還沒有賜給你們能明白的心、能看見的眼、能聽清的耳。

耶穌雖然在他們面前行了許多神蹟，他們還是不信祂。這是要應驗以賽亞先知的話：「主啊，誰相信我們所傳的呢？主的能力向誰顯現呢？」接著，以賽亞又說出他們不能信的緣故：「主使他們眼瞎、心硬，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到我的醫治。」以賽亞看見了祂的榮耀，所以才這樣說。

耶穌便說：「上帝國的奧祕只讓你們知道，對其他人，我就用比喻，使他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不明白。

要溫柔地規勸那些反對我們的人，也許上帝會賜給他們悔改的心，使他們明白真理，

正如聖經上說：「上帝使他們至今心智昏迷，眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不到。」大衛也說：「願他們的宴席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，給他們帶來報應；願他們眼目昏暗，無法看見，永遠彎腰駝背。」

卻背棄了真道，讓他們重新悔改是不可能的。因為他們等於把上帝的兒子重新釘在十字架上，使祂再度公開受辱。

「人子啊，你住在叛逆的人當中。他們有眼睛卻視而不見，有耳朵卻聽而不聞，因為他們是叛逆的人。

我聽見以法蓮在為自己悲歎，『我們就像未經馴服的牛犢，你管教我們，使我們順服，求你使我們回到你身邊，重新復興，因為你是我們的上帝耶和華。我們曾經離開你，但我們後悔了；我們醒悟之後捶胸頓足，痛悔不已，因早年的所作所為而羞愧難當。』」耶和華說：「以法蓮不是我的愛子嗎？他不是我喜悅的孩子嗎？我雖然常常責備他，但仍然惦記著他。我深深地想念他，我必憐憫他。

他們彼此意見不一。在他們散去之前，保羅說了一句話：「聖靈藉以賽亞先知對你們祖先所說的話真是一點不錯，祂說，『你去告訴百姓，你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。因為這百姓心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，以致眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不見，心裡不明白，無法回心轉意，得不到我的醫治。』

倘若惡人離惡行義，他必救回自己的性命。因為他醒悟過來，痛改前非，必能活著，不致死亡。以色列人卻說，『主這樣做不公平！』以色列人啊，是我的做法不公平呢？還是你們的做法不公平呢？「所以主耶和華說，『以色列人啊，我必按你們各人的行為審判你們。你們要悔改，痛改前非，使你們不致死在罪惡中。你們要離棄從前所有的罪惡，洗心革面。以色列人啊！你們何必走向滅亡呢？』主耶和華說，『我斷不喜歡任何人死亡，你們要悔改，以便存活。』」

所以你們要悔改，歸向上帝，祂將除去你們一切的罪惡，
