耶稣问他们：“在安息日可以行善还是作恶，救命还是害命？”他们却不做声。

又问众人说：“在安息日行善行恶，救命害命，哪样是可以的呢？”他们都不作声。

他又问众人：“在安息日行善行恶，救命害命，哪样是合法的呢？”他们都不作声。

他又问众人：“在安息日行善行恶，救命害命，哪样是合法的呢？”他们都不作声。

然后问众人：“在安息日应该行善还是作恶？救人还是害人？”他们都不吭声。

又对他们说：“在安息日哪一样是可以作的呢：作好事还是坏事？救命还是害命？”他们一声不响。

又問眾人說：「在安息日行善行惡，救命害命，哪樣是可以的呢？」他們都不作聲。

他又問眾人：「在安息日行善行惡，救命害命，哪樣是合法的呢？」他們都不作聲。

耶穌問他們：「在安息日可以行善還是作惡，救命還是害命？」他們卻不做聲。

復問眾曰：『禮日當行善乎？抑作惡乎？救生乎？抑戕生乎？』眾皆嘿然不答。

Then Jesus asked them,“ Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent.

Then Jesus asked them,“ What does the Law say we should do on the Sabbath day? Should we do good? Or should we do evil? Should we save life? Or should we kill?” But no one answered.

And he said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

Then he turned to his critics and asked,“ Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him.

Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

And He* said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do what is good or to do what is evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?” But they were silent.

He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.

耶稣对他们说：“我问你们，在安息日是否可以行善或作恶，救命或害命？”

看哪，有个一只手枯萎的人。有些人就问耶稣，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，是否可以呢？”这是为要控告耶稣。耶稣对他们说：“你们当中有哪一个人，如果他有一只羊在安息日掉进坑里，他不会抓住羊，把它拉上来呢？人比羊重要多了！所以，在安息日做好事是可以的。”

有一个安息日，耶稣到一个法利赛人的首领家里去吃饭，他们密切注意着耶稣。当时，有一个患水肿病的人在他面前。于是耶稣问律法师们和法利赛人，说：“在安息日使人痊愈，可以不可以？”他们都安静下来。耶稣就扶着那人，使他痊愈，让他走了。然后耶稣对他们说：“你们当中谁有儿子或牛在安息日这一天掉到井里，而不立刻把他拉上来呢？”

接着，耶稣对他们说：“安息日是为人而存在的，人不是为安息日而存在的。所以，人子是主，也是安息日的主。”

然后耶稣按手在她身上，她的腰立刻直了，她就不住地荣耀神。因为耶稣在安息日使人痊愈，会堂主管就很生气，对那群人说：“应该做工的日子有六天，所以你们在那些日子来得痊愈吧！但不要在安息日这一天。”主回答他，说：“你们这些伪善的人！难道你们每个人在安息日，不也是把自己的牛或驴从槽边解开，牵去饮水吗？何况这妇人，做为亚伯拉罕的子孙，被撒旦所捆绑竟然有十八年，难道不应该在安息日这一天从捆锁中被释放吗？”耶稣说了这些话，所有反对他的人都感到蒙羞，可是众人都因他所行的一切荣耀的事而感到欢喜。

门徒们却不做声，因为他们在路上彼此争论谁更大。
