西庇太的儿子雅各，雅各的弟弟约翰——耶稣给他们起名叫“波阿内格”——这意思是“雷霆之子”；

西庇太之子雅各、與其弟約翰、此二人者名之半尼其、即雷子也、

西比太子雅各、同兄弟約翰、此二人稱半尼其、即所謂雷子也、

又有西比代子雅各、與其弟約翰、此二人賜名曰半尼其、譯即雷子、

慈伯德子雅谷伯暨弟若望、二子亦稱罷吶熱譯言雷霆之子；

James son of Zebedee and his brother John( to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means“ sons of thunder”),

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James( to whom he gave the name Boanerges, that is, Sons of Thunder);

James and John( the sons of Zebedee, but Jesus nicknamed them“ Sons of Thunder”),

and to James the son of Zebedee, and to his brother John, he gave the name“ Boanerges”( that is,“ Sons of Thunder”);

James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James( to them He gave the name Boanerges, which means,“ Sons of Thunder”);

James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is,“ Sons of Thunder”;

and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and them he surnamed Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:

to James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, he gave the name Boanerges( that is,“ sons of thunder”);

James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James,( whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);

我的話豈不像火，又像能打碎磐石的大錘嗎？這是耶和華說的。

上帝的道是活潑的，是有功效的，比一切兩刃的劍更鋒利，甚至魂與靈、骨節與骨髓，都能刺入、剖開，連心中的思念和主意都能辨明。

過了六天，耶穌帶着彼得、雅各、約翰，領他們悄悄地上了高山。他在他們面前變了形像，

你要大聲喊叫，不要停止；要揚聲，好像吹角；向我的百姓宣告他們的過犯，向雅各家陳述他們的罪惡。

約在那時候，希律王下手苦待教會中的一些人，

耶穌稍往前走，又見西庇太的兒子雅各和他弟弟約翰在船上補網。耶穌隨即呼召他們，他們就把父親西庇太和雇工留在船上，跟從了耶穌。

於是他帶着彼得、雅各和約翰同去。他驚恐起來，極其難過，

西庇太的兒子雅各和約翰進前來，對耶穌說：「老師，我們無論求你甚麼，願你為我們做。」

西門‧彼得、叫低土馬的多馬、加利利的迦拿人拿但業、西庇太的兩個兒子，和另外兩個門徒，都在一起。

彼得轉過身來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟着，就是在晚餐時靠着耶穌胸膛說「主啊，出賣你的是誰」的那門徒。彼得看見他，就問耶穌：「主啊，這個人怎樣呢？」耶穌對他說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？你跟從我吧！」於是這話在弟兄中間流傳，說那門徒不死。其實，耶穌不是說他不死，而是對彼得說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？」這門徒就是為這些事作見證、並且記載這些事的，我們知道他的見證是真的。耶穌所行的事還有許多，若是一一都寫出來，我想，就是全世界也容不下所要寫的書。

於是他帶着彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟約翰同去，不許別人跟着他。

天使們對我說：「你必須指着許多民族、邦國、語言、君王再說預言。」
