西庇太之子雅各、與其弟約翰、此二人者名之半尼其、即雷子也、

There were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. Jesus gave them the name Boanerges. Boanerges means Sons of Thunder.

耶和華曰、我言豈非若火、又若摧石之鎚乎、

蓋上帝之道活潑靈通、利於兩刃之劍、能剖刺魂與靈、節與髓、亦立辨人之心思意志也、

越六日、耶穌攜彼得雅各約翰潛陟高山、當前變狀、

大聲呼號、勿限止焉、揚聲如角、以其罪咎告於我民、以其愆尤示雅各家、

當時希律王措手、虐待會中數人、

少進、見西庇太之子雅各、與其弟約翰、在舟補網、招之、遂別父及傭人於舟而從焉、○

遂攜彼得雅各約翰偕往、驚駭慘怛、

西庇太之子、雅各約翰進曰、夫子、我求爾者、願為我行之、

西門彼得、多馬稱低土馬、加利利之迦拿人拿但業、西庇太二子、又有二徒同在、

彼得轉身見耶穌所愛之徒從之、即飱時倚耶穌胸、問賣主為誰者也、遂問耶穌曰、主、斯人將如何、耶穌曰、我若欲其待我來、於爾何涉、爾其從我、故兄弟中相傳、謂此徒不死、然耶穌非言其不死、第言我若欲其待我來、於爾何涉耳、○證此而書之者、即此徒、我儕知其證真也、○夫耶穌所行、更有多焉者、若逐一書之、我意所錄之書、世不勝載矣、

乃於彼得雅各及雅各之弟約翰外、不許他人從行、

又語我曰、爾當復指諸民諸邦諸方諸王而預言、
