Then he said to them,“ The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Then Jesus said to them,“ The Sabbath day was made for man. Man was not made for the Sabbath day.

And he said to them,“ The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Then Jesus said to them,“ The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath.

Then he told them,“ The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.

He said to them,“ The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns, so that your male and female servants may rest, as you do. (niv)

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. (niv)

Then Jesus said to them,“ I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?” (niv)

Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy. (niv)

“ Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed. (niv)

“ If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the Lord’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, (niv)

Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.” (niv)

“ You came down on Mount Sinai; you spoke to them from heaven. You gave them regulations and laws that are just and right, and decrees and commands that are good.You made known to them your holy Sabbath and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses. (niv)

Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing a man’s whole body on the Sabbath? (niv)

So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours,whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future— all are yours, (niv)

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. (niv)
