He said to them,“ Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry— he, and those who were with him?

耶穌對他們說：『大衛（本人和跟隨他的人）缺乏而餓着的時候所作的，你們從沒誦讀過麼？

耶穌對他們說：「大衛和那些與他在一起的人飢餓缺乏時所做的事，難道你們從來沒有讀過嗎？

耶穌曰、爾未讀大衛與從者匱而飢時所為乎、

耶穌曰、爾不知大闢及從人乏食、饑時所行乎、

耶穌曰、經載大衛及從者乏食、饑時所行之事、爾未讀之乎、

對曰：『經載大維及從者飢時所為事、爾豈未寓目耶？

He answered,“ Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?

He answered,“ Haven’t you ever read about what David did? He and his men were hungry. They needed food.

And he said to them,“ Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him:

Jesus said to them,“ Haven’t you ever read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

He said to them,“ Have you never read what David and those who were with him did when he was in need and hungry—

And He* said to them,“ Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions became hungry;

But He said to them,“ Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him:

And he said unto them, Did ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him?

He said to them,“ Have you never read what David and those who were with him did when he was in need and hungry—

Now therefore what is under your hand? Please give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatever is available.”The priest answered David, and said,“ I have no common bread, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.”David answered the priest, and said to him,“ Truly, women have been kept from us as usual these three days. When I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was only a common journey. How much more then today shall their vessels be holy?”So the priest gave him holy bread; for there was no bread there but the show bread that was taken from before Yahweh, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you read it?”

and said to him,“ Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them,“ Yes. Did you never read,‘ Out of the mouth of babes and nursing babies you have perfected praise?’”

Jesus said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?’

He answered,“ Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,

But about the dead, that they are raised; haven’t you read in the book of Moses, about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
