The Pharisees said to him,“ Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

法利赛人批评耶稣说：“看看你的门徒，他们为什么做安息日不准做的事？”

法利赛人对耶稣说：“你看，他们为什么作安息日不可作的事？”

有些法利赛人对耶稣说：“你看，他们为什么做安息日不可以做的事呢？”

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪，他們在安息日為甚麼做不可做的事呢？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪！他們為甚麼做安息日不合法的事呢？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪！他們為甚麼做安息日不合法的事呢？」

法利賽人批評耶穌說：「看看你的門徒，他們為什麼做安息日不准做的事？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：“你看，他們為甚麼作安息日不可作的事？”

法利賽人對他們說：『你看，他們為甚麼作安息日不可作的事呢？』

有些法利賽人對耶穌說：「你看，他們為什麼做安息日不可以做的事呢？」

法利賽人謂耶穌曰、彼何行安息日不宜行者乎、

𠵽唎㘔人曰、彼於安息日、何為所不當為乎、

法利賽人謂耶穌曰、視哉、彼於安息日為所不當為者、何也、

法利塞人謂耶穌曰：『不見爾徒擅犯禮日禁例！』

The Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to Jesus,“ Look! It is against the Law to do this on the Sabbath day. Why are your disciples doing it?”

And the Pharisees were saying to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

But the Pharisees said to Jesus,“ Look, why are they breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees were saying to Him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said to Him,“ Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

The Pharisees said to Him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

So the Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?”

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;

“ If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable; and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

“ Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

For consider him who has endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, that you don’t grow weary, fainting in your souls.

“ Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”He answered them,“ Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?

The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples,“ Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?Or how will you tell your brother,‘ Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.

‘ Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of solemn rest to Yahweh: whoever does any work in it shall be put to death.You shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Sabbath day.’”

Also the foreigners who join themselves to Yahweh to serve him, and to love Yahweh’s name, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant,

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel!

While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.Yahweh said to Moses,“ The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Tell them,‘ Hear Yahweh’s word, you kings of Judah, all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:Yahweh says,“ Be careful, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.Don’t carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day. Don’t do any work, but make the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.But they didn’t listen. They didn’t turn their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, and might not receive instruction.It will happen, if you diligently listen to me,” says Yahweh,“ to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but to make the Sabbath day holy, to do no work therein;then there will enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on David’s throne, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city will remain forever.They will come from the cities of Judah, and from the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country, and from the South, bringing burnt offerings, sacrifices, meal offerings, and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving, to Yahweh’s house.But if you will not listen to me to make the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem. It will not be quenched.”’”

For Yahweh says,“ To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, choose the things that please me, and hold fast to my covenant,

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

In those days I saw some men treading wine presses on the Sabbath in Judah, bringing in sheaves, and loading donkeys; also with wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day; and I testified against them in the day in which they sold food.Some men of Tyre also lived there, who brought in fish and all kinds of wares, and sold on the Sabbath to the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them,“ What evil thing is this that you do, and profane the Sabbath day?Didn’t your fathers do this, and didn’t our God bring all this evil on us, and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”It came to pass that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. I set some of my servants over the gates, so that no burden should be brought in on the Sabbath day.So the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares camped outside of Jerusalem once or twice.Then I testified against them, and said to them,“ Why do you stay around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on, they didn’t come on the Sabbath.I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember to me, my God, this also, and spare me according to the greatness of your loving kindness.

But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him,“ Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
