And he said to them,“ Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him:

耶穌回答說：「大衛和他的部下在饑餓、缺糧時所做的事，你們沒有讀過嗎？

耶穌對他們說：“大衛和跟他一起的人在飢餓缺食的時候所作的，你們沒有念過嗎？

耶穌對他們說：『大衛（本人和跟隨他的人）缺乏而餓着的時候所作的，你們從沒誦讀過麼？

耶穌對他們說：「大衛和那些與他在一起的人飢餓缺乏時所做的事，難道你們從來沒有讀過嗎？

耶穌曰、爾未讀大衛與從者匱而飢時所為乎、

耶穌曰、爾不知大闢及從人乏食、饑時所行乎、

耶穌曰、經載大衛及從者乏食、饑時所行之事、爾未讀之乎、

對曰：『經載大維及從者飢時所為事、爾豈未寓目耶？

He answered,“ Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?

He answered,“ Haven’t you ever read about what David did? He and his men were hungry. They needed food.

Jesus said to them,“ Haven’t you ever read in the Scriptures what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

He said to them,“ Have you never read what David and those who were with him did when he was in need and hungry—

And He* said to them,“ Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions became hungry;

But He said to them,“ Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him:

And he said unto them, Did ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him?

He said to them,“ Have you never read what David and those who were with him did when he was in need and hungry—

And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

He said to them,“ Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry–

He said to them,“ Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry— he, and those who were with him?

Now then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever is here.”And the priest answered David,“ I have no common bread on hand, but there is holy bread— if the young men have kept themselves from women.”And David answered the priest,“ Truly women have been kept from us as always when I go on an expedition. The vessels of the young men are holy even when it is an ordinary journey. How much more today will their vessels be holy?”So the priest gave him the holy bread, for there was no bread there but the bread of the Presence, which is removed from before the Lord, to be replaced by hot bread on the day it is taken away.

He said to him,“ What is written in the Law? How do you read it?”

and they said to him,“ Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them,“ Yes; have you never read,“‘ Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?”

Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures:“‘ The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

He answered,“ Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,

And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God:

There were seven brothers; the first took a wife, and when he died left no offspring.
