法利赛人对耶稣说：“你看，他们为什么作安息日不可作的事？”

有些法利赛人对耶稣说：“你看，他们为什么做安息日不可以做的事呢？”

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪，他們在安息日為甚麼做不可做的事呢？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪！他們為甚麼做安息日不合法的事呢？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：「看哪！他們為甚麼做安息日不合法的事呢？」

法利賽人對耶穌說：“你看，他們為甚麼作安息日不可作的事？”

法利賽人對他們說：『你看，他們為甚麼作安息日不可作的事呢？』

有些法利賽人對耶穌說：「你看，他們為什麼做安息日不可以做的事呢？」

法利賽人謂耶穌曰、彼何行安息日不宜行者乎、

𠵽唎㘔人曰、彼於安息日、何為所不當為乎、

法利賽人謂耶穌曰、視哉、彼於安息日為所不當為者、何也、

法利塞人謂耶穌曰：『不見爾徒擅犯禮日禁例！』

The Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to Jesus,“ Look! It is against the Law to do this on the Sabbath day. Why are your disciples doing it?”

But the Pharisees said to Jesus,“ Look, why are they breaking the law by harvesting grain on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees were saying to Him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said to Him,“ Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

The Pharisees said to Him,“ Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”

And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

So the Pharisees said to him,“ Look, why are they doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?”

The Pharisees said to him,“ Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.

“ If you turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Lord honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, or seeking your own pleasure, or talking idly;

“ Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

“ Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.”He answered them,“ And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples,“ Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.”

“ And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it, and holds fast my covenant—

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!

While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation.They put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him.And the Lord said to Moses,“ The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

and say:‘ Hear the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates.Thus says the Lord: Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck, that they might not hear and receive instruction.“‘ But if you listen to me, declares the Lord, and bring in no burden by the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy and do no work on it,then there shall enter by the gates of this city kings and princes who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their officials, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And this city shall be inhabited forever.And people shall come from the cities of Judah and the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the Shephelah, from the hill country, and from the Negeb, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and frankincense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the Lord.But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem and shall not be quenched.’”

For thus says the Lord:“ To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose the things that please me and hold fast my covenant,

In those days I saw in Judah people treading winepresses on the Sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys, and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them on the day when they sold food.Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of goods and sold them on the Sabbath to the people of Judah, in Jerusalem itself!Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”As soon as it began to grow dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, that no load might be brought in on the Sabbath day.Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.But I warned them and said to them,“ Why do you lodge outside the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on they did not come on the Sabbath.Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him,“ Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
