On hearing this, Jesus said to them,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus heard that. So he said to them,“ Those who are healthy don’t need a doctor. Sick people do. I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to follow me.”

耶稣听见，就说：“健康的人用不着医生；有病的人才用得着。经上说：‘我喜爱怜悯，不喜爱祭祀。’这句话的意思，你们去揣摩。我不是来召义人，而是召罪人。”

耶稣回答他们：“健康的人用不着医生；有病的人才用得着。我不是来召义人悔改，而是召罪人悔改。”

我告诉你们，一个罪人悔改，在天上也要这样为他欢喜，比为九十九个不用悔改的义人欢喜还大呢！”

人子来是要寻找和拯救失丧的人。”

这话可信，值得完全接受：“基督耶稣到世上来是要拯救罪人”，而在罪人中我是个罪魁。然而，我蒙了怜悯，好让基督耶稣在我这罪魁身上显明他完全的忍耐，给后来信他得永生的人做榜样。

我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑，作各样私欲和宴乐的奴隶，在恶毒、嫉妒中度日，是可恨的，而且彼此相恨。但到了我们救主上帝的恩慈和慈爱显明的时候，他救了我们，并不是因我们自己所行的义，而是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。圣灵就是上帝藉着我们的救主耶稣基督厚厚地浇灌在我们身上的，好让我们因他的恩得称为义，可以凭着永生的盼望成为后嗣。

恶人当离弃自己的道路，不义的人应除掉自己的意念。归向耶和华，耶和华就必怜悯他；当归向我们的上帝，因为他必广行赦免。

同他在那里的法利赛人听见这些话，就对他说：“难道我们也失明了吗？”

而且加添了律法，使得过犯增加，只是罪在哪里增加，恩典就在哪里越发丰盛了。所以，正如罪藉着死掌权；照样，恩典也藉着义掌权，使人因我们的主耶稣基督得永生。

你们岂不知不义的人不能承受上帝的国吗？不要自欺！无论是淫乱的、拜偶像的、奸淫的、作娼妓的，亲男色的、偷窃的、贪婪的、醉酒的、辱骂的、勒索的，都不能承受上帝的国。从前你们中间也有人是这样；但现在你们奉主耶稣基督的名，并藉着我们上帝的灵，已经洗净，已经成圣，已经称义了。

他对父亲说：‘你看，我服侍你这么多年，从来没有违背过你的命令，而你从来没有给我一只小山羊，叫我和朋友们一同快乐。

我们还软弱的时候，基督就在特定的时刻为不敬虔之人死。为义人死，是少有的；为仁人死，或者有敢做的。惟有基督在我们还作罪人的时候为我们死，上帝的爱就在此向我们显明了。

耶和华说：“来吧，我们彼此辩论。你们的罪虽像朱红，必变成雪白；虽红如丹颜，必白如羊毛。

“你们要小心，不可轻看这些小子中的一个；我告诉你们，他们的天使在天上，常见我天父的面。

我告诉你们，一个罪人悔改，上帝的使者也是这样为他欢喜。”

耶稣对他们说：“你们是在人面前自称为义的，你们的心，上帝却知道；因为人以为尊贵的，是上帝看为可憎恶的。

他们回答他说：“你完全是生在罪中的，还要来教训我们吗？”于是他们把他赶出去了。

我先在大马士革，后在耶路撒冷和犹太全地，以及外邦，劝勉他们应当悔改归向上帝，行事与悔改的心相称。

不论犹太人和希腊人，我都已证明他们当在上帝面前悔改，信靠我们的主耶稣。

他为我们的缘故舍己，为了要赎我们脱离一切罪恶，又洁净我们作他自己的子民，热心为善。
