On hearing this, Jesus said to them,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

耶穌聽見後，答道：「健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。聖經上說，『我喜愛憐憫之心，而非祭物』，你們去揣摩這句話的意思吧。我來不是要召義人，乃是要召罪人。」

耶穌答道：「健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。我來不是要召義人悔改，乃是召罪人悔改。」

我告訴你們，同樣，一個罪人悔改，在天上也要這樣為他歡喜，甚至比有九十九個不用悔改的義人還歡喜。

人子來是要尋找和拯救迷失的人。」

有句話千真萬確、完全可信，就是「基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人。」在罪人中我是個罪魁，但我依然蒙了憐憫，因為耶穌基督要在我這個罪魁身上彰顯祂無限的忍耐，使我做那些要信靠祂並得到永生之人的榜樣。

從前我們也愚蠢、悖逆、易受迷惑，受各種私慾和享樂的驅使，心裡充滿了嫉妒和惡念，令人憎惡，也彼此憎恨。但我們的救主上帝向人彰顯了祂的恩慈和仁愛，藉著重生之洗和聖靈的更新拯救了我們，這並非因為我們有義行，而是因為祂的憐憫。上帝藉著我們的救主耶穌基督把聖靈豐豐富富地澆灌在我們身上。這樣，我們既然靠著祂的恩典而被稱為義人，就可以成為後嗣，有永生的盼望。

願邪惡的人停止作惡，不義的人除掉惡念。願他們歸向耶和華，祂必憐憫他們；願他們歸向我們的上帝，祂必仁慈地赦免他們。

有些跟祂在一起的法利賽人聽了這句話，就問：「難道我們也瞎了眼嗎？」

律法是後來頒佈的，使過犯更多地顯出來，只是哪裡的罪越多，哪裡的恩典就顯得越豐富。罪怎樣掌權帶來死亡，恩典也照樣藉著義掌權，為要藉著我們主耶穌基督帶來永生。

你們豈不知道不義的人不能承受上帝的國嗎？不要自欺，一切淫亂的、拜偶像的、通姦的、變態的、同性戀的、偷竊的、貪婪的、酗酒的、毀謗的、欺詐的，都不能承受上帝的國。你們當中有些以前就是這樣的人，但靠著主耶穌基督的名和我們上帝的靈，你們已經被洗淨，成為聖潔的義人了。

「他對父親說，『你看，我伺候你這麼多年，從來沒有違背過你的命令，可是你沒有給過我一隻羊羔，讓我和朋友一同歡宴。

當我們還軟弱無助的時候，基督就在所定的日期為罪人死了。為義人死，是罕見的；為好人死，也許有敢做的；但基督卻在我們還做罪人的時候為我們死！上帝的愛就這樣顯明了。

耶和華說：「來吧，我們彼此理論！你們的罪雖如猩紅，也必潔白如雪；你們的罪雖如緋紅，也必白如羊毛。

你們切不可輕視任何一位卑微的人。我告訴你們，他們的天使在天上常見我天父的面。

我告訴你們，同樣，一個罪人悔改，上帝的眾天使也會這樣為他歡喜。」

耶穌對他們說：「你們在人面前自以為義，但上帝能看透你們的心。因為世人所看重的東西在上帝看來卻是可憎的。

法利賽人斥責他：「你這生來就深陷罪中的傢伙，居然敢教導我們！」於是把他趕了出去。

我先在大馬士革，然後到耶路撒冷、猶太全境和外族人當中勸人悔改歸向上帝，行事為人要與悔改的心相稱。

我勸猶太人和希臘人都要悔改，歸向上帝，信靠主耶穌基督。

主耶穌為我們犧牲自己，要救贖我們脫離一切罪惡，並潔淨我們，使我們作祂的子民，成為熱心行善的人。
