As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

As he walked along he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus. Levi was sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him. Levi got up and followed him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.

Then, passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me,” and he got up and followed him.

As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He* said to him,“ Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him,“ Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the place of toll, and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

Then, moving on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him,“ Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the[ son] of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

As he went along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax booth.“ Follow me,” he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.

After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus said to him,and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them.But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”Jesus answered them,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon who was called the Zealot,

“ Come, follow me,” Jesus said,“ and I will send you out to fish for people.”At once they left their nets and followed him.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them,and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples,“ Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”On hearing this, Jesus said,“ It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.But go and learn what this means:‘ I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

“ Come, follow me,” Jesus said,“ and I will send you out to fish for people.”At once they left their nets and followed him.When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets.Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
