As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He* said to him,“ Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.

As he walked along he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus. Levi was sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” Jesus told him. Levi got up and followed him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.

Then, passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me,” and he got up and followed him.

As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him,“ Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphæus sitting at the place of toll, and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

Then, moving on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him,“ Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi the[ son] of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

As he went along, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax booth.“ Follow me,” he said to him. And he got up and followed him.

As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him,“ Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.

After that He went out and looked at a tax collector named Levi sitting in the tax office, and He said to him,“ Follow Me.”And he left everything behind, and got up and began following Him.And Levi gave a big reception for Him in his house; and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and other people who were reclining at the table with them.The Pharisees and their scribes began grumbling to His disciples, saying,“ Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?”And Jesus answered and said to them,“ It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.I have not come to call the righteous to repentance, but sinners.”

and Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot;

And He* said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.Going on from there He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets; and He called them.Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

and Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot;

As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew sitting in the tax collector’s office; and He* said to him,“ Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.Then it happened that as Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and began dining with Jesus and His disciples.And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples,“ Why is your Teacher eating with the tax collectors and sinners?”But when Jesus heard this, He said,“ It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.Now go and learn what this means:‘ I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

And Jesus said to them,“ Follow Me, and I will have you become fishers of people.”Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.And going on a little farther, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, who were also in the boat mending the nets.Immediately He called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and went away to follow Him.

When they had entered the city, they went up to the upstairs room where they were staying, that is, Peter, John, James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
