適有巴總在側、見耶穌臨終時情形、乃曰：『斯人真天主子也！』

百夫長和同他看守耶穌的人見地震和所經過的事，就起了極大敬畏的心，說：『真是上帝的兒子啊這個人！』

他倚靠上帝；上帝若要他，讓上帝如今援救他吧！因為他曾經說：「我是上帝的兒子。」』

既決定我們須開航往義大利去，他們就將保羅和一些別的監犯送交給皇軍營裏的一個百夫長、名叫猶流。有一隻亞大米田的船要航行到亞西亞一帶幾個地方，我們就上船開行。有一個馬其頓人、帖撒羅尼迦人亞里達古和我們一同走。隔一天、我們在西頓攏了岸，猶流以仁慈待保羅，准他往朋友家去得照應。

在該撒利亞有一個人名叫哥尼流，是那叫作義大利營的一個百夫長。

耶穌進了迦伯農，有一個百夫長上他跟前來，求他說：『主啊，我的僮僕害癱瘓病，躺在家裏，疼痛的很厲害。』耶穌對他說：『我要去治好他。』百夫長回答說：『主啊，你進我舍下，我配不起；你只要吩咐一句話，我的僮僕就會得醫治。因為我雖是在權柄之下的人，卻有兵在我以下；我對這個說「去」，他就去；對另一個說「來」，他就來；對我的奴僕說：「你作這事」，他就去作。』耶穌聽了就希奇，對跟從的人說：『我實在告訴你們，這麼大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也沒有遇見過。

彼拉多希奇、耶穌是不是已經死了，便把百夫長叫來，向他查問耶穌是不是已經死掉了些時候了。既從百夫長知道了，就將屍體賜給約瑟。

但是百夫長的意思要使保羅平安得救，便禁止他們行這主意，就命令會浮水的跳下水去，先到岸上；
