Look, a time is coming– and has come– when you will be scattered, each one to his own home, and I will be left alone. Yet I am not alone, because my Father is with me.

You cause my friends and neighbors to keep their distance; those who know me leave me alone in the darkness.

Because of my condition, even my friends and acquaintances keep their distance; my neighbors stand far away.

At my first defense no one appeared in my support; instead they all deserted me– may they not be held accountable for it.

Your anger bears down on me, and you overwhelm me with all your waves.( Selah)You cause those who know me to keep their distance; you make me an appalling sight to them. I am trapped and cannot get free.

“ I have stomped grapes in the winepress all by myself; no one from the nations joined me. I stomped on them in my anger; I trampled them down in my rage. Their juice splashed on my garments, and stained all my clothes.

“ He has put my relatives far from me; my acquaintances only turn away from me.My kinsmen have failed me; my friends have forgotten me.

Jesus replied,“ I told you that I am he. If you are looking for me, let these men go.”
