Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.

「弟兄們，關於帶人抓耶穌的猶大，聖靈藉著大衛的口早已預言，這經文必須要應驗。

這時，猶大帶著一隊士兵以及祭司長和法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠、火把和兵器來了。耶穌早就知道將要發生在自己身上的一切事，於是出來問他們：「你們找誰？」他們回答說：「拿撒勒人耶穌！」耶穌說：「我就是。」那時出賣耶穌的猶大也站在他們當中。他們聽到耶穌說「我就是」，便後退跌倒在地上。耶穌又問：「你們找誰？」他們說：「拿撒勒人耶穌。」耶穌說：「我已經告訴你們我就是。你們既然找我，就讓這些人走吧。」這是要應驗祂以前說的：「你賜給我的人一個也沒有失掉。」這時，西門·彼得帶著一把刀，他拔刀向大祭司的奴僕馬勒古砍去，削掉了他的右耳。耶穌對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧！我父賜給我的杯，我怎能不喝呢？」

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二門徒中的猶大來了，隨行的還有祭司長和民間長老派來的一大群拿著刀棍的人。出賣耶穌的猶大預先和他們定了暗號，說：「我親吻誰，誰就是耶穌，你們把祂抓起來。」猶大隨即走到耶穌跟前，說：「老師，你好。」然後親吻耶穌。耶穌對他說：「朋友，你要做的事，快動手吧。」於是那些人上前，下手捉拿耶穌。耶穌的跟隨者中有人伸手拔出佩刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他一隻耳朵。耶穌對他說：「收刀入鞘吧！因為動刀的必死在刀下。難道你不知道，我可以請求我父馬上派十二營以上的天使來保護我嗎？我若這樣做，聖經上有關這事必如此發生的話又怎能應驗呢？」那時，耶穌對眾人說：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？我天天在聖殿裡教導人，你們並沒有來抓我。不過這一切事的發生，是要應驗先知書上的話。」那時，門徒都丟下祂逃走了。

耶穌還在說話的時候，十二使徒中的猶大已帶著一群人趕到，他上前親吻耶穌。耶穌對他說：「猶大，你用親吻的暗號來出賣人子嗎？」跟隨耶穌的人見他們來勢洶洶，就說：「主啊，我們該拔刀抵抗嗎？」其中一人拔刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍過去，削掉了他的右耳。耶穌卻說：「住手！夠了！」於是祂摸那奴僕的耳朵，治好了他，然後對前來抓祂的祭司長、聖殿護衛長和長老說：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？我天天和你們一起在聖殿裡，你們沒有抓我。但現在正是黑暗當權、你們得勢的時候了！」

耶和華啊，我的敵人何其多！反對我的人何其多！他們都說上帝不會來救我。（細拉）

列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？世上的君王一同行動，官長聚集商議，要抵擋耶和華和祂所膏立的王。

求你不要遠離我，因為危難當頭，無人幫我。我被許多仇敵圍困，他們像巴珊的公牛那樣強壯。他們張口要吞噬我，如同吼叫著撕食獵物的獅子。
