必有人假吾名、冒稱基督、出而惑眾。

Many will come in my name, claiming,‘ I am he,’ and will deceive many.

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect.

Then the LORD said to me,“ Those prophets are prophesying lies while claiming my authority! I did not send them. I did not commission them. I did not speak to them. They are prophesying to these people false visions, worthless predictions, and the delusions of their own mind.

For many will come in my name, saying,‘ I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many.

Thus I told you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

And many false prophets will appear and deceive many,

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Then if anyone says to you,‘ Look, here is the Christ!’ or‘ There he is!’ do not believe him.For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and nothing came of it.After him Judas the Galilean arose in the days of the census, and incited people to follow him in revolt. He too was killed, and all who followed him were scattered.So in this case I say to you, stay away from these men and leave them alone, because if this plan or this undertaking originates with people, it will come to nothing,but if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them, or you may even be found fighting against God.” He convinced them,

I did not send those prophets. Yet they were in a hurry to give their message. I did not tell them anything. Yet they prophesied anyway.But if they had stood in my inner circle, they would have proclaimed my message to my people. They would have caused my people to turn from their wicked ways and stop doing the evil things they are doing.Do you people think that I am some local deity and not the transcendent God?” the LORD asks.“ Do you really think anyone can hide himself where I cannot see him?” the LORD asks.“ Do you not know that I am everywhere?” the LORD asks.The LORD says,“ I have heard what those prophets who are prophesying lies in my name are saying. They are saying,‘ I have had a dream! I have had a dream!’
