As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately,

He did not speak to them without a parable. Privately, however, he explained everything to his own disciples.

When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples,

Then the disciples came up and asked him,“ Why are you speaking to them in parables?”

As he passed alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea— for they were fishermen.“ Follow me,” Jesus told them,“ and I will make you fish for people.”Immediately they left their nets and followed him.Going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat putting their nets in order.

He did not let anyone accompany him except Peter, James, and John, James’s brother.

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.

While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will these things happen? And what is the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed him.He first found his own brother Simon and told him,“ We have found the Messiah”( which is translated“ the Christ”),

Then he left the crowds and went into the house. His disciples approached him and said,“ Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain by themselves to be alone. He was transfigured in front of them,

James and John, the sons of Zebedee, approached him and said,“ Teacher, we want you to do whatever we ask you.”

He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled.
