不用比喻，就不对他们讲。只有单独和自己的门徒在一起的时候，才把一切解释给他们听。

耶稣和门徒走近耶路撒冷，来到橄榄山的伯法其那里。耶稣派了两个门徒，

门徒上前问耶稣：“你对他们讲话，为什么用比喻呢？”

耶稣沿着加利利海边行走，看见西门和他弟弟安得烈在海上撒网；他们是渔夫。耶稣就对他们说：“来跟从我，我要使你们成为得人的渔夫。”他们立刻撇下网，跟从了他。耶稣稍往前走，看见西庇太的儿子雅各，和雅各的弟弟约翰，正在船上整理鱼网，

于是他不许别人跟他一起去，只带了彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰。

过了六天，耶稣带着彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰，领他们悄悄地上了高山。

耶稣坐在橄榄山上，门徒暗中前来问他：“请告诉我们，什么时候会有这些事呢？你的降临和这世代的终结，有什么预兆呢？”

听了约翰的话而跟从耶稣的那两个人，一个是西门．彼得的弟弟安得烈。他先找到自己的哥哥西门，告诉他：“我们遇见弥赛亚了！”（“弥赛亚”的意思就是“基督”。）

耶稣离开群众，进到屋里，门徒前来问他：“请你给我们解释田里稗子的比喻。”

过了六天，耶稣带着彼得、雅各、约翰，领他们悄悄地上了高山，在他们面前改变了形象。

西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰，来到耶稣跟前，对他说：“老师，我们无论向你求什么，愿你为我们作成。”

他带了彼得、雅各、约翰一起去，就惊惧起来，非常难过。
