So Jesus asked this question as He taught in the temple complex,“ How can the scribes say that the Messiah is the Son of David?

耶稣问他们：“人怎么能说基督是大卫的子孙呢？大卫自己在诗篇上说：‘主对我的主说：你坐在我的右边，等我使你的仇敌作你的脚凳。’大卫既然称他为主，他又怎会是大卫的子孙呢？”

那时，耶稣对众人说：“你们带着刀棒出来，把我当作强盗捉拿吗？我天天坐在殿里教导人，你们却没有逮捕我。

耶稣白天在殿里教导人，晚上就到橄榄山上去过夜。

圣经不是说基督是大卫的后裔，是从大卫本乡伯利恒出来的吗？”

耶稣对大祭司说：“我向来对世人讲话都是公开的，我常常在会堂和圣殿里，就是在所有犹太人聚集的地方教导人，暗地里我并没有讲什么。

耶稣离开那里的时候，有两个瞎子跟着他，喊着说：“大卫的子孙，可怜我们吧！”

他天天在圣殿里教导人，祭司长、经学家和民间的首领，都想杀害他；

法利赛人聚在一起的时候，耶稣问他们：“你们对基督的看法怎样？他是谁的子孙呢？”他们回答：“大卫的子孙。”耶稣就说：“那么大卫被圣灵感动，怎么会称他为主呢？他说：‘主对我的主说：你坐在我的右边，等我把你的仇敌放在你的脚下。’“大卫既然称他为主，他怎么又是大卫的子孙呢？”

他们又来到耶路撒冷。耶稣在殿里行走的时候，祭司长、经学家和长老来到他跟前，
