Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.For the commandments,“ Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet,”( and if there is any other commandment) are summed up in this,“ Love your neighbor as yourself.”

The second is like it:‘ Love your neighbor as yourself.’

In everything, treat others as you would want them to treat you, for this fulfills the law and the prophets.

For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely,“ You must love your neighbor as yourself.”

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.It is not rude, it is not self- serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

“ Which ones?” he asked. Jesus replied,“ Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

You must not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your people, but you must love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

The expert answered,“ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators.For the one who obeys the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.For he who said,“ Do not commit adultery,” also said,“ Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.Speak and act as those who will be judged by a law that gives freedom.For judgment is merciless for the one who has shown no mercy. But mercy triumphs over judgment.

Which of these three do you think became a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”The expert in religious law said,“ The one who showed mercy to him.” So Jesus said to him,“ Go and do the same.”

You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. You must not withhold the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.
