Now about the dead rising— have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

What about the dead rising? Haven’t you read in the Book of Moses the story of the burning bush? God said to Moses,‘ I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. And I am the God of Jacob.’( Exodus 3:6)

And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

“ But now, as to whether the dead will be raised— haven’t you ever read about this in the writings of Moses, in the story of the burning bush? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said to Moses,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

And as for the dead being raised— haven’t you read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God said to him: I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?

至於死人之活起來，連摩西在《刺叢》篇上也指點明白了；他怎樣稱主為亞伯拉罕的上帝、以撒的上帝、雅各的上帝。

在我與你以及你以後的苗裔之間，我必堅立我的約，做世世代代永遠的約；好讓我做你和你以後的苗裔的上帝。我要將你現在寄居的地，就是迦南全地，賜給你和你以後的苗裔，做永遠的產業；我還要做他們的上帝。』

在那裏建立了一座祭壇，給它起名叫伊利伊羅海以色列。

你去聚集以色列的長老，對他們說：「永恆主、你們祖宗的上帝、亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝、向我顯現，說：『我實在鑒察了你們；你們在埃及怎樣受虐待、我都鑒察了。

那一夜裏、永恆主向他顯現說：『我是你父親亞伯拉罕的上帝；你不要怕，因為是我與你同在；我必賜福與你，使你的後裔增多，都是為了我僕人亞伯拉罕的緣故。』

「匠人所棄掉的這塊石頭，已成了房角石的頭一塊；這事由主作成，我們竟看為希奇！」連這一段經你們也沒有誦讀過麼？』

關於死人的復活，上帝對你們所講的話、說：「我是亞伯拉罕的上帝、以撒的上帝、雅各的上帝」，你們沒有誦讀過麼？上帝並不是死人的上帝，乃是活人的上帝呀。』

『過了四十年、在西乃山的野地、有一位天使在刺叢的火燄中向摩西顯現。摩西見了那異象，覺得希奇。正上前察看的時候、有主的聲音說：「我就是你列祖的上帝，亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝。」摩西戰戰兢兢、不敢察看。

但你以色列、我的僕人、你雅各、我所揀選的、我朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔、我從地儘邊所抓來的，從地極角所召來的，我對你說：『你是我的僕人；我揀選了你，並不棄絕你。』你不要懼怕，因為是我與你同在；不要彷徨張望，因為是我做你的上帝；我必堅固你，我一定幫助你；一定用我義氣的右手扶持你。

若不是我父親的上帝，亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒所敬畏的，與我同在，你如今必定打發我空手回去的。但是我的苦情和我親手所勞碌的，上帝都看見了，所以他昨夜指正你。』

雅各說：『永恆主，我祖亞伯拉罕的上帝，我父以撒的上帝啊，你曾對我說：「回你本地、你本親族那裏去；我要好待你。」

永恆主的使者從刺叢中火燄裏向他顯現。摩西一看，只見刺叢在火中燒着，而刺叢竟沒有被燒燬！摩西說：『我要過去，看這大異象，為甚麼這刺叢沒有燒掉。』永恆主見摩西過來要看，上帝從刺叢中呼叫他說：『摩西，摩西』；摩西說：『我在這裏呢。』永恆主說：『不可走近這裏來；要把你腳上的鞋脫下，因為你所站的地方是聖地。』又說：『我是你父的上帝，亞伯拉罕的上帝、以撒的上帝、雅各的上帝。』摩西掩着面，因為怕望着上帝。

看哪，永恆主站在他旁邊，說：『我是永恆主，你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝；你所躺臥的地我要賜給你和你的後裔。
