“ But now, as to whether the dead will be raised— haven’t you ever read about this in the writings of Moses, in the story of the burning bush? Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said to Moses,‘ I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’

雅各在那里筑了一座坛，称之为伊利·伊罗伊·以色列。

你去招聚以色列的长老，对他们说，‘你们祖先的上帝耶和华，就是亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝向我显现，说祂关切你们，知道你们在埃及的遭遇。

当天晚上，耶和华向他显现说：“我是你父亲亚伯拉罕的上帝。你不用惧怕，因为我与你同在。为了我仆人亚伯拉罕的缘故，我必赐福给你，使你子孙众多。”

圣经上说，“‘工匠丢弃的石头已成了房角石。

“关于死人复活的事，难道你们没有读过上帝对你们说过的话吗？祂说，‘我是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。’上帝不是死人的上帝，而是活人的上帝。”

“过了四十年，在西奈山的旷野，上帝的天使在荆棘火焰中向摩西显现。摩西见状很惊奇，正要上前看个究竟，就听见主说，‘我是你祖先的上帝，是亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝。’摩西战战兢兢，不敢观看。

“然而，以色列啊，你是我的仆人；雅各啊，你是我拣选的，是我朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔。我把你从地极带来，从遥远的角落召来。我对你说，‘你是我的仆人，我拣选了你，没有丢弃你。我是你的上帝，我必与你同在，你不用惊慌也不用害怕。我必赐你力量，帮助你，用我公义的右手扶持你。’

如果不是我父亲以撒敬畏的上帝，就是亚伯拉罕的上帝与我同在，你肯定会让我两手空空地回家。但上帝看见了我的难处和劳苦，所以在昨夜责备了你。”

他祷告说：“耶和华，我祖父亚伯拉罕和我父亲以撒的上帝啊！你吩咐我回到家乡和亲族那里，答应厚待我。

忽然有耶和华的天使在荆棘里的火焰中向他显现。摩西看见荆棘虽然在燃烧，却没有被烧毁。摩西想：“我要过去看这个奇异的景象，荆棘为什么没有被烧掉呢？”耶和华上帝见他要上前观看，就从荆棘丛中呼唤他说：“摩西！摩西！”摩西说：“我在这里。”上帝说：“别再靠近，脱下你脚上的鞋子，因为你所站的地方是圣地。”又说：“我是你祖先的上帝，是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。”摩西害怕看上帝，就把脸蒙起来。

耶和华站在梯子上对雅各说：“我是耶和华，是你祖父亚伯拉罕的上帝，也是以撒的上帝。我要把你现在躺卧的地方赐给你和你的后代。
