自此、若輩處心積慮、共謀所以殺耶穌。耶穌亦不復公然行於猶太人中、乃退至郊野之地；入一鎮、名以法蓮、偕門徒居焉。會猶太人之免難節將屆、節前多有自鄉間上耶路撒冷者、先行取潔、皆覓耶穌、群立殿中、而相語曰：『爾謂彼將不來度節乎？』惟司祭長及法利塞人已曉諭諸民、如有知耶穌所在者、即當稟報、以便逮捕。

眾皆領教、且歎佩其口中所發之仁言、咸相謂曰：『此非若瑟之子耶？』
