叮嚀斯世富人、不可驕傲；財富無常、未足恃也。所可恃者、惟天主耳。天主慨然以萬物賜予吾人、俾得充量享受者、

誰知天網恢恢兮。將滅爾以終古。逐爾於家室之外兮。除爾於永生之圃。

爾自謂富有、綽有餘裕、而無所欠缺；殊不知爾實為百無聊賴、貧窮不堪、盲而裸者。

小子乎、予與爾俱、尚有片時、爾將依依追念、予之所往、爾不能來。曩曾以此語猶太人、今亦舉以語爾。

貪婪成性之法利塞人、一聞此語、即嗤笑之、

耶穌呼之曰：『小子、有饌乎？』對曰：『無。』

徒聞斯語、殊為詫異、曰：『然則誰能獲靈救歟？』

復為之設喻曰：『昔有富人、土地所產甚豐、乃自計曰：「吾無處囤此物產、將如之何？」曰：「有矣、吾將毀諸倉、而另建大者、以儲百穀諸貨。」吾將寬慰吾魂曰：「魂乎、爾有豐財、足供餘年、此後可安心飲食、姿爾宴樂。」詎天主謂之曰：「愚人、今夕欲索爾魂、爾之所備、將誰歸乎？」凡厚積私財、而貧於天爵者、皆此類也。』

可愛哉小子、爾等則本乎天主、而戰勝若輩矣。無他寓於爾內者、實遠勝乎寓於世間者也。

聞者應曰：『然則誰能蒙救乎？』耶穌曰：『在人固有所不能、在天主則無所不能也。』

貧富貴賤皆泡影。泡影為重人生輕。若衡二者天平上。人生應升泡影沈。

務望小子對於一切偶像、避之若浼也。

更望賜提撕。俾與鄉願隔。鄉願生斯世。但為斯世活。以主無盡藏。暢恣其口腹。金玉既滿堂。有子萬事足。積蓄遺兒孫。繩繩相承續。

橫逆縱頻仍。心泰何憂否。財富安足恃。不得贖昆弟。

嗟爾小子、吾今重為爾曹受分娩之痛苦矣。非至基督成形於爾心中、吾之劬勞、寧有已時。

凡此皆在葛法農會堂施訓時之所言也。
