哀哉爾曹盲而作導者！爾謂指殿而誓、猶同無誓、若指殿中之金而誓、乃受拘束。何爾狂妄昏昧、一至於此！夫二者孰大、金乎？抑聖金之殿乎？爾又謂指壇而誓、猶同無誓、若指壇上儀物而誓、乃受拘束。昏昧之人乎！二者孰大：儀物乎？抑聖儀物之殿乎？夫指壇而誓、即指其壇及壇上諸物而誓也。指殿而誓者、即指其殿及寓於殿中者而誓也。指天而誓者、即指天主寶座、及居於寶座者而誓也。哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也！蓋爾斤斤於薄荷、蘹香、蒔蘿、什一之輸、而於律中綱要、如正義、仁慈、信德、則漠然置之。彼固當行、此亦焉可廢哉？爾瞽而作導者！蚋則濾之、駝則吞焉。

蓋天主之道、活潑靈通、利於雙刃之劍、刺透魂魄、徹入骨髓、且能燭幽洞微、即心中一念之萌、一意之起、靡有不察、凡屬受造之物、莫不在天主明鑒之下、腑肺盡露；吾人皆向渠負責、固無所逃於天地間也。

司諦文憑其智慧靈感、應對沛然、無能禦之者。

蓋法利塞人與猶太之民、拘泥古人遺規、非盥其指不食、自市歸、非浴不食；其他繁禮褥節、如杯爵銅器床榻之洗濯、亦一一墨守成規。故法利塞人及經生質耶穌曰：『爾徒不遵古人遺規、而以俗手取食何也？』耶穌對曰：『善夫意灑雅指爾輩虛偽者之預言也！其書云、「斯民敬我以唇舌、其心與我隔天淵、既奉世教為寶訓、向我朝拜亦徒然。」蓋天主之命、爾則棄之、人之習俗、爾則執之。』又曰：『爾曹之所以廢棄天主誡命、而維護爾之習俗者、亦已巧矣！蓋摩西曰：「敬爾父母、咒詛其父母者死無貸；」而爾曹則曰：「人若謂父母云我所供爾之養、已割爾盤、謂已作獻主之儀、」於是爾曹遂不復許其供奉父母。是以爾之習俗、廢天主之聖道也。爾之所為、類若斯。』
