蓋上帝之道活潑靈通、利於兩刃之劍、能剖刺魂與靈、節與髓、亦立辨人之心思意志也、無物不顯於其前、萬有呈露於鞫我者之目也、○

司提反以智與神而言、眾莫能禦、

蓋法利賽人、與猶太眾、執古人遺傳、不力盥其手、則不食、自市歸、不浴不食、其受而守之者、更有多端、若杯爵銅器亦洗之、乃問耶穌曰、爾門徒不依古人遺傳、以俗手而食、何也、耶穌曰、善夫、以賽亞指爾偽善者之預言也、如記云、斯民以口尊我、而心則遠我、其拜我徒然、以所教者、乃人所命耳、爾曹舍上帝誡、執人遺傳、又曰、誠哉、爾廢上帝誡、守爾遺傳也、蓋摩西曰、敬爾父母、又曰、詈父母者必死之、惟爾則曰、人若謂父母云、爾可由我得益者、乃咯［口板］、即謂已獻於上帝、則不再許其有所事於父母矣、是爾以所授遺傳、廢上帝道、爾之所為多類此、
