聞如望所言而從耶穌之二徒、其一即為西門、伯鐸祿之兄安得烈。安得烈先遇其弟西門、而告之曰：『吾儕已遇美使。』美使之為言、基督也。遂引西門謁耶穌、耶穌注目視之曰：『汝非若納之子西門乎？此後當稱爾為基法。』「基法」者伯鐸祿也。

徒中有安德烈者即西門伯鐸祿之兄、謂耶穌曰：

十二人者、為西門、即耶穌錫名伯鐸祿者、及弟安德烈、更有雅谷伯、若望、斐理伯、巴爾多樂茂、瑪竇、多默、

維時、耶穌立於日內色湖濱、眾爭欲聆天主道、不勝擁擠、耶穌見二舟泊湖邊、漁人在外滌網、其一為西門所有；耶穌登焉、囑移舟稍離岸、乃坐而訓眾。訓畢、謂西門曰：『放舟深處、下網捕魚。』西門曰：『吾儕通宵操勞、一鱗無獲、茲尊爾示、當復下網。』網下、果獲多魚；網且裂。乃招鄰舟漁伴前來相助。兩舟滿載、舟亦幾沉。西門伯鐸祿睹此、俯伏耶穌膝下、曰：『主其離我罪人。』蓋伯鐸祿及其舟人、乃至其夥慈伯德二子、雅谷伯若望、睹此一網所得之魚、舉不勝驚愕也。耶穌謂西門曰：『毋懼！今而後汝當為生靈之漁父矣。』彼等既曳舟上岸、盡棄所有、以從耶穌。

又有安德烈、裴理伯、巴爾多樂茂、瑪竇、多默、亞爾弗子雅谷伯、樹德、加納人西門；

既入城、登一樓房、即諸徒之所寓也。諸徒者、伯鐸祿、若望、雅谷伯、安德烈、斐理伯、多默、巴多樂茂、瑪竇、亞爾弗子雅各伯、奮銳黨西門、雅谷伯之弟樹德是也。

十二人者、即西門錫名伯鐸祿、
