Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire— they all conspire together.

They are very good at doing what is evil. Rulers require gifts. Judges accept money from people who want special favors. Those who are powerful always get what they want. All of them make evil plans together.

Their hands are on what is evil, to do it well; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.

Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice.

長者聽訟受賄、祭司訓民圖利、先知占卜謀財、猶自以為倚賴主、曰、主在我間、禍必不臨我身、

惡人若不行惡、不遑寢寐、不陷害人、不暇合目、所食之餅、非義而取、所飲之酒、強暴而得、

我知爾愆尤最多、罪惡甚重、爾困逼困逼或作虐待義人、爾受賄賂、在公庭公庭原文作邑門下同屈枉貧民、

主曰、我必使其妻室歸他人、使其田畝歸他人為業、緣彼自小至大、俱貪不義之財、先知及祭司俱行詭詐、

故時未至、爾勿擬議人、迨主降臨、彼將光照幽暗之隱事、且明顯中心之計謀、其時各由天主、必得所宜之褒獎、

其中牧伯、若狼攫傷生物、彼殺人流血、傷害人命、為獲不義之財、

爾之侯伯悖逆、與盜為侶、俱好賄賂、求贓私、不為孤子辨屈、嫠婦不敢至前訴冤、

時數萬人會集、自相擁擠、耶穌先謂門徒曰、當謹防法利賽人之酵、即偽善也、蓋未有掩藏之事而不顯露、未有隱蔽之事而不為人知、
