With what should I enter the LORD’s presence? With what should I bow before the sovereign God? Should I enter his presence with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?

我朝见耶和华，在至高神面前跪拜，当献上什么呢？岂可献一岁的牛犊为燔祭吗？

我朝見永恆主，在高高的上帝面前屈身，該帶着甚麼？難道我朝見他、要帶着燔祭，帶着一歲的牛犢麼？

我詣耶和華、跪拜至上之上帝、當奉何物、豈以燔祭及盈歲之犢、而詣之乎、

民曰我欲崇拜至上之上帝耶和華、當獻何物、豈可以燔祭盈歲之犢、臚陳於前哉、

我欲詣於主前、叩拜在上之天主、當獻何物、當獻火焚祭乎、抑獻一歲之犢乎、

With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

The people of Israel say,“ What should we bring with us when we go to worship the Lord? What should we offer the God of heaven when we bow down to him? Should we take burnt offerings to him? Should we sacrifice calves that are a year old?

“ With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

What can we bring to the Lord? Should we bring him burnt offerings? Should we bow before God Most High with offerings of yearling calves?

What should I bring before the LORD when I come to bow before God on high? Should I come before him with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?

With what shall I come to the Lord And bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings, With yearling calves?

With what shall I come before the Lord, And bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With calves a year old?

Wherewith shall I come before Jehovah, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt- offerings, with calves a year old?

What should I bring before the Lord when I come to bow before God on high? Should I come before Him with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD,[ and] bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

How shall I come before Yahweh, and bow myself before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not in line with the truth.For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out,“ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego emerged from the fire.

Then Balaam said to Balak,“ Build seven altars here for me, and prepare seven bulls and seven rams.”So Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

For the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins.So when he came into the world, he said,“ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.“ Whole burnt offerings and sin- offerings you took no delight in.“ Then I said,‘ Here I am: I have come– it is written of me in the scroll of the book– to do your will, O God.’”When he says above,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sin- offerings you did not desire nor did you take delight in them”( which are offered according to the law),then he says,“ Here I am: I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first to establish the second.By his will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Now someone came up to him and said,“ Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the solemn truth, you are looking for me not because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate all the loaves of bread you wanted.

Then he cried out with a loud voice,“ Leave me alone, Jesus, Son of the Most High God! I implore you by God– do not torment me!”

Balaam said to Balak,“ Build me seven altars here, and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams.”So Balak did just as Balaam had said. Balak and Balaam then offered on each altar a bull and a ram.Balaam said to Balak,“ Station yourself by your burnt offering, and I will go off; perhaps the LORD will come to meet me, and whatever he reveals to me I will tell you.” Then he went to a deserted height.Then God met Balaam, who said to him,“ I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”

He was driven from human society, his mind was changed to that of an animal, he lived with the wild donkeys, he was fed grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until he came to understand that the most high God rules over human kingdoms, and he appoints over them whomever he wishes.

So Balak brought Balaam to the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, where he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.And Balaam said to Balak,“ Station yourself here by your burnt offering, while I meet the LORD there.

She followed behind Paul and us and kept crying out,“ These men are servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation.”

saying,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, in whom I know there to be a spirit of the holy gods and whom no mystery baffles, consider my dream that I saw and set forth its interpretation!

Receiving sacrifices and offerings are not your primary concern. You make that quite clear to me! You do not ask for burnt sacrifices and sin offerings.Then I say,“ Look! I come! What is written in the scroll pertains to me.I want to do what pleases you, my God. Your law dominates my thoughts.”

All of the thriving people of the earth will join the celebration and worship; all those who are descending into the grave will bow before him, including those who cannot preserve their lives.

Now when they heard this, they were acutely distressed and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ What should we do, brothers?”

Come! Let’s bow down and worship! Let’s kneel before the LORD, our creator!

As for you, O king, the most high God bestowed on your father Nebuchadnezzar a kingdom, greatness, honor, and majesty.

“‘ If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd he must present it as a flawless male; he must present it at the entrance of the Meeting Tent for its acceptance before the LORD.He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him to make atonement on his behalf.Then the one presenting the offering must slaughter the bull before the LORD, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and splash the blood against the sides of the altar which is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.Next, the one presenting the offering must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,and the sons of Aaron, the priest, must put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.Then the sons of Aaron, the priests, must arrange the parts with the head and the suet on the wood that is in the fire on the altar.Finally, the one presenting the offering must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altar– it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.“‘ If his offering is from the flock for a burnt offering– from the sheep or the goats– he must present a flawless male,and must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will splash its blood against the altar’s sides.Next, the one presenting the offering must cut it into parts, with its head and its suet, and the priest must arrange them on the wood which is in the fire, on the altar.Then the one presenting the offering must wash the entrails and the legs in water, and the priest must present all of it and offer it up in smoke on the altar– it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.“‘ If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering from the birds, he must present his offering from the turtledoves or from the young pigeons.The priest must present it at the altar, pinch off its head and offer the head up in smoke on the altar, and its blood must be drained out against the side of the altar.Then the priest must remove its entrails by cutting off its tail feathers, and throw them to the east side of the altar into the place of fatty ashes,and tear it open by its wings without dividing it into two parts. Finally, the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar on the wood which is in the fire– it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the LORD.

Your lamb must be perfect, a male, one year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats.

Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine.( Now he was the priest of the Most High God.)He blessed Abram, saying,“ Blessed be Abram by the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth.Worthy of praise is the Most High God, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything.Then the king of Sodom said to Abram,“ Give me the people and take the possessions for yourself.”But Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I raise my hand to the LORD, the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth, and vow

Certainly you do not want a sacrifice, or else I would offer it; you do not desire a burnt sacrifice.The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit– O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

Now an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus, saying,“ Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

David said to the Gibeonites,“ What can I do for you, and how can I make amends so that you will bless the LORD’s inheritance?”

For this reason I kneel before the Father,

Then he brought them outside and asked,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
