You will eat but not be satisfied; your stomach will still be empty. You will store up but save nothing, because what you save I will give to the sword.

You will eat. But you will not be satisfied. Your stomachs will still be empty. You will try to save what you can. But you will not be able to. If you do save something, it will be destroyed in battle.

彼不崇我耶和華、過飽則臟腑傷、過淫則生育寡、

又曰、人子、吾必使耶路撒冷人、養生之餅匱乏、將權餅而食、量水而飲、不敢少過、中心危懼、待餅水俱絶、互相觀望、因罪而亡。

爾民三分之一、必亡於瘟疫饑饉、三分之一、必亡於鋒刃、三分之一、必散於四方、我亦襲之以白刃、

居斯土者、惟有驚駭、坎阱機檻而已、逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋穹蒼破隙、大地震基、斯土搖撼震裂、若醉者跬步不能自主、如搖床蹁躚不定、蓋斯民之罪甚重、故遭傾覆、不能復起。

有隱而不仕者、或攬手告之曰、爾多藏幣帛、奚不為政、拯予於患難乎。其人大聲辭曰、子也廩無餘粟、笥無餘衣、安能濟困、不敢為政。蓋耶路撒冷猶大之民、所信所行、背乎耶和華、犯天顏、干震怒、顛蹶而亡、

主耶和華又曰、我僕得食、惟爾飢餓、我僕得飲、惟爾煩渴、我僕喜樂、惟爾愧怍。

牲畜輜重、適彼南方、頻更患難、有牝獅猛獅、又有毒蛇、且能飛騰、所有貨財、載於驢肩、負於駝背、以饋於不能益己之民、

疾趨者不得避難、強勁者其力廢弛、有能者不能自救、執弓者不能禦敵、捷足者不得免禍、乘馬者不得救援、當是日壯士之中、勇敢特稱者、必裸而逃、我耶和華已言之矣。

左吞右噬、猶不厭足、而自嚙其臂、

我之忿怒如火之燎、燃於幽冥、爇其全地、偕土產以俱焚、並山基而同燬。我降災非一、盡發弧矢、年饑而民餒、體熱而人廢、絕於疫癘、嚙於獸齒、傷於毒蛇、外亡以刃、內害以驚、丁男與處女、赤子與白首、淪胥以亡。

爾播多穫少、食不果腹、飲不止渴、衣不得暖、工得其金、盛於敝囊。

免於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、屆期我必降災於摩押。

是時人至麥堆、望得二十束、惟得十束、人至酒醡、望得五十斗、惟得二十斗、

主立於壇側、我觀之、聞其詞曰、擊柱頂、震門橛、俱當損毀、壓於眾首、眾之子孫、我必加誅戮、逃匿者無人、得免者無人、雖入陰府、我必取之、雖升天堂、我將降之、雖匿於加密之巔、我將搜而出之、雖藏於大海之底、我必使蛇嚙之、雖為敵所擄、我必使刃殺之、我恆鑒察、爾惟加以災害、不加以福祉、
